Izzy, Rescue Dog—Continued!

Hey Everyone! I thought I would check-in with you again about Izzy, our Rescue dog. She’s been a part of our family for a month and a half now. She is a funny character, and is showing her full personality! We are thinking differently on her breed, wondering if she possibly part Pug and we’re thinking also part Beagle! Maybe Izzy is a Puggle!! We’ve researched both Pug and Beagle, and she has tendencies of both for sure. So, on the Pug side, her short little nose causes her to snore! We have found that giving her a flat little pillow helps a lot. Pugs are also mischievous, and oh my goodness, that is Izzy too. We have a rule that she is not to touch Missy’s food dish, but her Beagle sniffer and food craving gets the best of her—you know, just to check and see if Missy might have even a bite of food left in her bowl. Just checking of course, to see if she should let Missy know she should finish! Izzy has a Beagle hound nose. She sniffs everything. On our two walks a day, she is happiest when she has found new things to sniff. There are lots of new scents on the farm, her little nose goes crazy, and her legs follow her nose. Speaking of her legs, and her feet, Izzy is not a lover of super cold-weather—but she also doesn’t appreciate boots on her feet either! She’s pretty silly because she gives us such a disgusted look when we put her little red boots on, but then when she’s outside, she runs around like something is chasing her, happy and frolicking like a puppy! Missy and Izzy are getting along very well. Every day Missy shows Izzy the ropes of life on the farm—how to bark at cows, how to go under a fence in the field, how to chase bunnies, how to chase up a flock of partridges, and how to look SO cute to get a treat. Missy has a higher tolerance to the cold weather, and it seems that Missy might chuckle under her breath when Izzy has to put on boots and a coat. It seems like Missy is snickering, just a little. Izzy’s latest trick is learning how to sit to get a treat, and now she sits before I can even tell her to, when there is a treat involved!

Our animals are silly, we love them, and life wouldn’t be as full and happy without them.

Update! On My Special Little Client :) Animal Reiki

I was very grateful to receive a phone call from my little client’s new person. It seems this sweet little dog is enjoying a normal, happy life—with even a hint of attitude! I chose this picture I took of her because I could see a tiny bit of spunk and attitude in her then. 🙂 This little dog and her new person have made quite the team together. I’m so happy for both of them. 🙂

My Special Little Client—News!! :)

Day 6

I heard a bit of news as to how my little client is doing in her new home…

  • She was nervous about getting ready to leave the animal shelter.
  • On her way to her new home, she was looking out the window of the vehicle, which is amazing!
  • She met her new person and was sitting beside her in a short amount of time.
  • Her new person said she slept on the bed all night!!

Wow! This is wonderful news, and so heartwarming. 🙂

My Special Little Client—Day 5 & 6, Animal Reiki Claresholm

I shared Reiki with this little girl for 6 days of intensive treatments. She is amazing, and her determination for healing has been so heartwarming. I’m very proud of her. Please wish this little girl well as she heads to her new home this weekend for a trial adoption.

My Little Client—Day 4, Animal Reiki Claresholm

My little client was tired today! This is totally normal with all the work she’s been doing in healing. 🙂 She is able to relax more now, and she let 2 other people hold her. Another big step for this special girl. 🙂  Her eyes are so bright compared to when I first met her.  Good job sweet girl, you have such determination.  🙂

High-Time for a Story

Hello my dear friends, how is everyone doing after a busy summer? Today (and always), I’m excited about books. My two girls and I LOVE books. We are very big readers, and are always having a conversation about a book (or books) we’re reading. Lately I’ve been reading/studying mostly non-fiction…animal communication, energy healing, medical intuition, meditation, and the list goes on. My girls have finally won their campaign to get me to read a fiction book. I’m loving it. It’s a historical fiction, one of my favorite genres. I forgot what it was like to get lost in a book! Oh it’s so much fun! I leave the worries of my day and enter a wonderful story. As it’s getting cooler outside, and the daylight hours are shorter, we also tend to watch a few more movies too. This past weekend we pulled out The Sound of Music—it’s such a timeless classic. The songs are still going through my head. I encourage you all to remember something that helps you to set aside the worries of the day, just for a little while. Relax, jump in, and absorb a wonderful story. It feels so good! What types of books do you enjoy? What movies? Is it time to make some popcorn and grab a cozy blanket and enjoy a wonderful story? I would say it’s high-time! 🙂 Enjoy your day.    ~Tracy

Hope and Peace…
