Everyone is different—you may or may not feel heat, tingling, small parts of you may feel cold. It is very likely you will feel deep relaxation, peace, and love. Memories, traumas, and emotions may surface, and they may go floating by and release, or you may feel some emotions as they come to mind. This is all a very good thing! Each Reiki treatment is gentle, unique, deep, and far reaching. Consecutive treatments result in layers being healed to feel balance, peace, and joy.

Why should I learn Reiki for myself?
If Reiki is something you want in your everyday life, I encourage you to learn Reiki. As you treat yourself with Reiki, and begin to heal and change your world, you can treat others and animals with Reiki too. It’s a win-win situation however you look at it. 🙂
Does Reiki ever make me feel worse?
The answer to this question is both yes and no. As your energy is balancing and you are building new vibrant energy inside you, the releasing of old stagnant energy may feel unpleasant at times. You may feel like you have to walk through a mud puddle to get to the green grass on the other side. 🙂 And it’s SO worth it!
A Reiki treatment commonly resembles typical bodywork appointments, where the client lies fully clothed on his or her back on a massage table. It is a simple, yet profound procedure consisting of calm, concentrated energy flowing from the practitioner’s hands to the client’s body. This is by touching (only appropriate areas), and/or the practitioner placing their hands a few inches above the client’s body. If the client is not comfortable with touching, the practitioner can place their hands above the client’s body. This is fully acceptable and just as effective. The practitioner uses trained awareness and intuition to guide healing energy to the client’s whole body, and also to specific areas that may need more attention. A full Reiki treatment is gentle, deeply relaxing, and deep reaching. It allows peace and healing energy to permeate the client’s body, mind, and spirit. Ahhhh, can you feel it? 🙂
In the past year, I’ve added something exciting to my Reiki treatments and Reiki workshops! I’ve been working with masculine and feminine energy flow, breath, movement, touch, and sound. I’ve integrated these wonderful tools into my Reiki work, both with humans and animals. The results have been amazing. I have found that using all these methods together with Reiki brings our bodies to a new level of wholeness and balance—balance exponentially (as you see in my logo, Reiki balance+). It transmutes constricted energy into relaxed, flowing energy, and it feels so great. As this constricted energy is transmuted into pleasurable energy, our unique creativity shines, our bodies become more relaxed, healing occurs, and our life opens up before us in new and exciting ways.

Reiki is a priceless tool to use in your life. You can use it anytime, anywhere, and in the past, present, and future! So, I’m offering these suggestion to stir things up in your life, just a little (or a lot), to include Reiki in your everyday or weekly schedule.
Allow me to give you some reasons to bring Reiki back, or to amp it up in your life. This includes if you are a Reiki practitioner, or a Reiki client…
Gently allow wounds or traumas to be healed to make room for fresh and vibrant energy in your life.
Clear your mind. Do you have decisions to make, or are you stuck in a cycle? Treat and release the tension or chaos you are feeling and allow new energy to change your pattern of thoughts and feelings.
Give Reiki to your pets or other animals in your care. They are likely in need of new and vibrant energy in their body. Give them a feeling of vitality too.
Relax. Everyone (including animals) need a chance to relax every day, to unplug from the world, and be still. It’s amazing what you might hear in the stillness.
Your environment may need some cleansing. Every so often it’s a wonderful idea to “clear the air” with Reiki in the workplace and at home. It feels fresh and new.
A physical ailment might need some Reiki, like a headache, a sore foot, or a sore shoulder – don’t forget that Reiki always helps in one way or another.
Send Reiki to the past, present, or future. If you are a Level 2 Practitioner or Master, or the client of a Level 2 Practitioner or Master, sending energy to a person, place, thing, etc. is a wonderful way to change generational ruts, give energy to a situation you are in right now, or an event that is coming up in the future.
Take care of yourself. Receive a treatment. Or as a Reiki Practitioner, giving yourself a self-treatment is #1 priority. Love yourself, love every part of your body, radiate love to everything around you—just because you can. ♥
Find some ways that Reiki can fit into your life—either bring Reiki back into your life, or amp it up to something new and fresh. You’ll be glad you did. 🙂
